Whilst one never wants to have to use a nursing home, when it does become a necessity, it is important to find the right one for the person in need, and for the rest of the family. We could not have been happier with our choice of Springfield Manor for my Dad. The care on a physical and emotional level was wonderful. We felt welcome from the start, and confident that Dad would being looked after. Not just with his physical needs, but also respected as an individual and treated with dignity. It meant a lot to see the same staff working there consistently, they knew our names and the other family members. This meant they knew Dad, and they knew his family and friends who visited. We would be given updates on who had been there and what Dad had done that day, which made us feel more part of his life there. He was looked after so well, from the moment he arrived. The communication to our family was great and any medical concerns were immediately shared with us. You didn’t just feel like another family, you felt like the only family there. Whilst Dad couldn’t join in with many of the activities, he enjoyed the live music and seeing ‘Santa’ at Christmas, when the place was full of joy. It doesn’t feel clinical, despite being equipped to be clinical. It felt as much like home for Dad as it could. I will be eternally grateful to everyone at Springfield for the care, compassion and love they showed to Dad, and the rest of our family.

My father spent the last couple of months here, being incredibly well cared for by an amazing team of careers. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and rolling views, in a very comfortable clean and pleasant environment specializing in the patient's needs. I can't thank them enough.

Our beloved niece spent her last precious few weeks of her life in this nursing home. The staff went above and beyond, to ensure her well being, both physically and mentally, maintaining a level of dignity in all aspects of her care. Environmentally a soothing and tranquil location, with private rooms/views to soothe the soul. Visitors are afforded a caring and welcoming attitude at all times, and are given emotional support with regard to their loved ones. Would highly recommend.

Very cold atmosphere, staff not the friendliest, rooms not homely, never offered a chair on visiting always had to ask, my father in law didn’t like being there, he said some staff were not very nice to him, if he was still with us, we would have moved him homes. Response- this is a genuine review, we didn’t want to complain as we didn’t want to make anything worse for my father in law. Quite clearly you haven’t checked your system because you will see my name and my family’s name regular in the guest book as we had to sign in every time we came here in the entrance, where we got given PPE every time, as well as covid tests being taken. Funnily enough you said a similar response to my daughters review. The “majority” doesn’t include my review. It’s clear you do recognise that the care home needs upgrading and modernising but in the time we was here visiting there was definitely no chairs in the clients rooms. Was never once offered chairs we always had to ask. Nobody likes bad criticism but criticism is how everybody learns

Awful, very very rude staff, who also wasn’t very nice to my grandad. Wouldn’t even send my worst enemy here! Once we lost him, staff wasn’t sympathetic at all, was very cold and rude. This home is all about the money! If I could rate a 0 I would Response: this isn’t a fake review, this is my personal and honest review and opinion on the care home and my family all agree and view this the same. But unfortunately for you, you won’t be happy with any review unless it’s 5 stars, but this is my genuine opinion and I apologise that you don’t like it. if you look in your guest book you will see my name and my family members names also as we came here a lot to visit my grandad who we visited Atleast 3 times a week. The only good bit of care that I experienced was the night my grandad was passing away. Night staff didn’t rush us or anything. Also it was during covid so we didn’t really have any choice but to send him here as placements in other homes were limited and because of bed blocking
